Official sources

Provider license information is verified against the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) registry of licensed property tax consultants, the Texas State Bar (attorneys), and the Texas Comptroller (registered arbitrators). County protest information — deadlines, filing channels, hearing process — is compiled from official appraisal district publications.

Per-field provenance

Each fact carries a source reference (the specific URL where it was confirmed) and a verification date. These are stored in our audit system and appear as "Last verified" dates on each listing and county page. No fact publishes without a source reference on file.

When information is not disclosed

When a piece of information applies to a provider but the provider has not publicly disclosed it, we record and display "Not disclosed" — not a blank, not a guess. The source reference documents where we looked. This convention applies to fee structures, hearing attendance, and license information equally.

Editorial review

Listings are reviewed by the PropertyTaxInfo editorial team. Facts are not generated by AI; every fact traces to an official record or a provider's own public disclosures. Verification dates are updated on a recurring schedule; deadline-class facts are re-verified before each notice season.
